Ở bài 2 của giáo trình Pimsleur French 1, ở nửa video đầu là một đoạn hội thoại tương đối giống bài đầu tiên, còn ở nửa video còn lại chúng ta sẽ học cách chào hỏi và hỏi thăm sức khỏe. Đầu tiên chúng ta cùng đến với đoạn hội thoại ở nửa video đầu tiên nhé:
Người nữ: Pardon monsieur, es ce que vous comprenez le français ?
Người nam: Un peu
Người nữ: Es ce que vous êtes American ?
Người nam: Oui, est-ce que vous comprenez l’anglais Mademoiselle?
Người nữ: Non monsieur. Je ne comprends pas.

Say the word’ French’ => Le français
Say ‘I understand’ => Je comprends
Say ‘i understand French’ => Je comprends le français
Ask ‘Do you understand English’ => Est‐ce que vous comprenez l’anglais ?

Good => Bon
Day => Jour
Say ‘Hello Miss’ => Bonjour Mademoiselle
Addressed a married woman => madame
Good morning Sir => Bonjour monsieur
How => Comment
You go => Vous allez
How are you? (How you going?) => Comment allez‐vous ?
Very well, thanks => Très bien, Merci
Ask the man How he is? => Comment allez‐vous ?
I’m well (Answering the question How are you?) => Je vais bien
Good bye =>Au voir
